Community storefront counseling run by VA’s Vet Center program. Readjustment counseling for combat veterans and others who qualify — different wrapper than a VAMC mental-health clinic. No VA health-care enrollment required for the counseling itself.
This is an access path, not a named protocol. What you get depends on the counselor. Many sites offer PTSD work; it is not automatically CPT/PE/EMDR.

Confidential is not the same as invisible in every system. If you are in crisis, 988 still comes first.
