Ibogaine

What it is

A long-acting oneirogen used in some overseas clinics and in veteran/TBI research (including Texas IMPACT). Not a weekend mushroom retreat.

Evidence

Stanford-linked open-label series in about 30 SOF veterans with mild-to-moderate TBI (ibogaine with a magnesium / MISTIC-style protocol) reported drops in PTSD, depression, and anxiety scores with cardiac monitoring. Not a randomized trial. Cardiac risk is documented. Texas IMPACT and veteran grant orgs sit in the research/advocacy lane.

Access for veterans

Not a routine U.S. clinic treatment. Overseas medical settings or formal trials only.

Cautions

Heart screening is not optional. Do this in a monitored medical setting or not at all.
